Breast cancer remains one of the most prevalent cancers among women globally—and while it predominantly affects women, men can be impacted as well. Even as screening and treatment improve, the need for research, support, and awareness continues to grow. When we designed our campaign—linking a $1 donation per case sold of Alasta® Shimmer Pink® gloves—our goal was simple: turn everyday purchases into impactful contributions. Because of your support, we now celebrate $500,000 donated toward cancer research, patient support, diagnostics, and community outreach.

A Personal Connection That Inspires Our Mission
For DASH®, this cause has has always been more than symbolic — it’s personal. Around the time we introduced Alasta® Shimmer Pink® gloves, Mary Kay, a valued member of our team, was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2014 — just one month before her mother received the same diagnosis.
They faced the journey together: treatment, recovery, and resilience. Mary Kay continued working through her therapy, underwent surgery, and marked the end of treatment by ringing the bell that symbolizes remission. Throughout that period, the DASH team stood beside her. Her family’s involvement with the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer strengthened DASH’s commitment to the cause.
